10 May 2008 - Erskine 2010 Appeal
Erskine provides care for over 1,200 young and old ex-Service men and women every year throughout Scotland and needs your urgent help for our 2010 Fundraising Appeal.
Since our inception in 1916, we have continually adapted to meet the care needs of the ex-Service community through two World Wars and many modern day conflicts. We have spent the last 90 years caring for over 70,000 people. This appeal will help us to meet the demand for our care by raising funds to expand our bed provision in Scotland.
The more money we raise, the more we can do.
-
The 2010 Appeal has enabled us to build our new specialist dementia care home, Erskine Park, which opened in October 2006.
-
It provided funding for the new Erskine multi-purpose care home in Anniesland, Glasgow, which opened in the autumn of 2007.
-
It will allow us to extend our Edinburgh Home and meet the ever-increasing demand for beds in the east of Scotland.
-
Donations will also ensure that we continue to provide the very unique and high standards of care for Scotland's ex-Service men and women.
At the launch of our Appeal, Scotland's First Minister, at that time, Jack McConnell said,
"Scotland's ex-Service men and women put themselves through life-threatening experiences so that we could have our freedom and they deserve the very best care."
